If your website has suffered a ranking drop in the last 6 months due to poor SEO practices or just link building techniques you or your SEO company was unaware were bad there is now a solution. Google has just released their long awaited disavow tool.
Watch the 10 minute video below where Googles Matt Cutts explains about the new tool and how to use it.
We’ve seen a lot of sites get demoted in rank over the past 6 months with Googles new Penguin algorithm update targeting poor quality links. For years the SEO industry has built links in any way possible to help rankings and it’s worked well. Google has well and truly stamped that out now. The way your site is promoted using SEO has changed and since the latest updates from Google many website owners have been stuck with poor rankings and seemingly no way to rectify the problem.
The latest update hit Google on 5th October and we’ve had numerous website owners contact us wondering why they dropped in rank! It doesn’t look like Google is going to let up on this so now is the time to clean up your act and ensure you have only good links pointing to your site and clear out the trash!
We’ve helped a number of clients get out of the mess by building a good quantity of quality links to help mask the bad links that were placed and were unable to be removed. Now with the new disavow tool from Google it looks like recoveries from possible penalties imposed by Google could be a much faster process.
Watch the video below and then take a look at the tool but probably best to contact an SEO company like us before doing anything as this is a powerful tool and you could do more harm than good if its not used correctly!
