Fragile Lucy is a Southampton ukulele song creator, performer and radio presenter. Funky flamenco, indie and geek-rock, quirky lyrics and a voice that stops people in the street.

Since March 2022 Lucy has hosted The Ukulele Radio Show on Fiesta 95 FM, every Monday from 6 to 7pm.
Expect a mix that runs from the 1920s to now, jug band to hip hop, with fun facts and good conversation in between. Guests have included Jake Shimabukuro, Phil Dolman, Marc Gallagher, Matthew Quilliam, Elizabeth Pfeiffer and Manitoba Hal, and Southampton Ukulele Jam have played live in the studio. Listeners tune in from as far away as the USA and New Zealand.
Fiesta 95 FM gave Lucy their Outstanding Achievement Award for her contribution to the station and for hosting the show.

“I love busking… but only in the spring and the autumn.”
Lucy first went busking partly out of necessity, partly out of curiosity, and found she loved it. Sing your heart out on a street corner and people stop to listen. In March 2026 her North to South busking tour ran from Newcastle upon Tyne down to Southampton, playing market streets and squares for free, for anyone passing.
