Oak outlasts fashion. We cut every frame by hand in our Huntley yard, peg it the way framers have for centuries, then wrap it in modern build‑ups that keep the heat in. Homes that hold their looks, and their warmth, for generations.
The WoodCraft Project is a small team of carpenters and joiners working in green oak, Douglas fir, sweet chestnut and larch. Much of our timber is sourced locally and milled in our own yard. We take on everything from full Passivhaus builds to a porch that has to sit right against a 400 year old cottage.

Cut by hand.
Pegged for keeps.
Machines are quick, and we use them where they earn their place. The joints that hold your frame together still get cut by hand, checked by eye and drawn tight with oak pegs. Frames were built this way five hundred years ago, and that is why so many of them are still standing.
