Who we are

Samson Web Design Limited is a web design and support company based in Worthing, West Sussex, established in 2006. We care about all the people and companies we deal with, including customers, staff and suppliers, and take the privacy of any information we hold on them seriously.

We collect personal data in order to communicate, conduct our business and promote our services. This data will never be shared with a third party without your express consent, unless we are required to do so by law.

What we collect

• Identity data: name, username, title.
• Contact data: billing address, email address, telephone numbers.
• Financial data: payment details, processed securely by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
• Transaction data: details of payments and of products and services you have purchased from us.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, time zone, operating system and device information.
• Usage data: information about how you use our website and services, including pages visited and, where you use our free website health check, the website address you submit for analysis.
• Marketing data: your preferences for receiving marketing from us.

How we collect it

Directly, when you fill in a form, order services, request a website health check, subscribe to updates, or contact us by phone, email or post. Automatically, through cookies and server logs as you use the website.

How we use your data

We process personal data where we need to perform a contract between us, where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests), or where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

• Providing and supporting the services you have asked for.
• Internal record keeping and improving our products and services.
• Sending you emails about services we think are relevant to you. We only rely on consent for marketing email, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email or by emailing us.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run our business, limited to what each needs to do its job: hosting infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing and analytics. We may also disclose information where required by law, in connection with legal proceedings, or to protect against fraud.

Except as set out in this policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.

How long we keep it

Only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. By law we must keep basic information about our customers (including contact, identity, financial and transaction data) for six years.
